Orfű
Orfű is a long-stretching village among the hills of Mecsek situated neatly along the former Orfű creek. It is only 16 km from Pécs. Over the past 30 years the ensemble of five small villages has turned into a a well known holiday resort area. In the broader district of Orfű one finds lakes, forests and well kept parks. There are significant developments in progress such as an aqua park and bike roads that will surely make Orfű one of the most charming touristic destinations in the region. Whit its hills and lakes Orfű offers numerous opportunities for the lovers of water sports, swimming, horse riding, and various other activities.
Palkonya
Palkonya, a village of one street and 370 inhabitants in Southern-Baranya has maintained the architectural heritage of the German vintners settled to this region in the 18th century. The most notable architectural landmark of the village is the row of wine cellars consisting of 53 press houses on the hill at the end of the village. These press houses have been built gradually over the golden age of winemaking and grape growing at the beginning of the 19th century. Their whitewashed facades are still a gripping site today. More and more tourists of the Siklós-Villány Wine Route enjoy visiting these cellars full of blazing red wines and vintners’ hospitality. The village’s children and those travelling through have great fun in Palkonya’s wooden playground, an outstanding work of art by folk woodcarvers. Those who are here for fishing or hiking will find refreshment in the quite surroundings and the rich bird varieties of the nearby fishery lakes.

We will take a march from the Boszorkány Student Hostel to the concert stage at Dóm square through the busiest walking streets. Be inspired to show up at the parade, and carry your country’s board. We would very much appreciate if you would bring and wear nice national dresses or sports suits, perhaps bring along small instruments, flags, as well. Get the parade colourful and vivid! Each country participates by nominating a singer or organising a band, and chooses one karaoke song (preferably in English) to represent their country in the competition. Every country will have one artist and one jury member.
Start thinking about your song, dedicated performer, and then the only thing left is to win!
